SUNDAY FARM TOURS

garden_class.jpg

Over the summer months we will be conducting complementary tours of the farm each Sunday afternoon beginning at 3:30 PM. Those who wish may follow a lunch at the restaurant (or precede a dinner) with a walk around the farm.  We will tell a little of the farm's history (dating back to the 1850's) and will walk through the orchards, crop fields and pastures to see the pigs and chickens.  We will discuss the organic practices we use for pest, disease and weed control.  We will also visit the produce barn where we wash and sort our crops and the solar hoop-house where much of our very early and very late season produce is grown. For those interested in gardening we will try to answer your gardening questions.  The tour will last about an hour.   Please call to let us know if you would like to be included on a particular Sunday.  Call Sue at 315-252-6025
